Consider just two stories that Hu Jintao will be aware of: the Olympic torch being extinguished in Paris [1] and Clinton calling on Bush to boycott the Olympics [2].  

People-based movements are less expensive in terms of national power than political-based movements, so I am very happy to see China getting feedback in a way that doesn&#039;t distract national governments like politicians boycotting events would.
