Major props to Oasis China Visa! Oasis is the tdaxp clan’s preferred agency for obtaining travel visas to the People’s Republic. I have now used them three times, and Mother and Sister of tdaxp recently obtained their permission from the Beijing government just last month.

My failure to correctly fill out part of the application this year might have been a disaster, especially if combined with China’s tough new visa rules (designed to keep protesters out). Fortunately, Oasis was kind enough to help me through the process, telling me what to scan, what to redo, and keeping me up to date on their handling of the case. Both Lady of tdaxp and I spoke with Oasis on the phone several times — and just yesterday, my passport with visa arrived at my door.

Lady of tdaxp will wed (for the first, second, or third time, depending on how you count) the day after Dragon Boat Festival, at the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception in Beijing.
