Group Differences in the News

by tdaxp ~ September 17th, 2008

Evolution has, is, and will continue to go on all around some. Some recent blog posts about group differences, and how selection effects them.

AIDS resistance, personality, politics, disease-risk, and intelligence are all heritable, thus the common thread of these psots.

Can’t the “less intelligent outbreeding the more intelligent” observation be explained in terms of access to sex education programs and effective birth control?

Historically, the ‘underclasses’ had fewer children because they were starving (women would suffer from amenhorrea and thus be infertile); today, it seems, they have more children and less access to family planning information and resources.

Possibly. Plus less future-time-orientation, less income to be lost by having children, and so on.

    Glenn,

    That was a funny movie! [1] :D
