5GW Weapons Test?

From Slashdot, this story of a conference of people who believe they are being systematically stalked by the government as part of a weapons test:

Health Professionals Fear Web Sites That Support Theories on Mind Control – NYTimes.com
“It was a big relief to find the community,” said Derrick Robinson, 55, a janitor in Cincinnati and president of Freedom from Covert Harassment and Surveillance, a group that claims several hundred regular users of its Web site. “I felt that maybe there were others, but I wasn’t real sure until I did find this community,” Mr. Robinson said.

There is no concise survey of mind-control sites or others describing gang stalking — whose users believe that groups of people are following and controlling them, as part of a test of neurological or other kinds of weapons likely conducted by the government — on the Net. But they are easy to find. Some have hundreds of postings, along with links to dozers of similar sties. One, Gangstalkingworld.com, welcomes visitors with this description: “Gang Stalking is a systemic form of control, which seeks to destroy every aspect of a Targeted Individual’s life. The target is followed around and placed under surveillance by Civilian Spies/Snitches 24/7.”

“By and large, most people are sane and coherent and can relate exactly what’s happening to them,” Mr. Robinson said. “They can say the things that would otherwise get them labeled as delusional.”

His group of self-described “targeted individuals” met offline in Los Angeles last month for their inaugural conference, he said, where they attended a meeting to share stories, including the humiliating experiences of being told they are insane.

Of course, it would be interesting in a 5GW sense to see how long it would take a random assortment of individuals subjected to a covert war to realize it… and organize…

  1. First, the non-5GW related response:

    1)

It sounds like the conference would be a good entrepreneurial opportunity.

I could sell conspiracy books, self-defense techniques, counter-surveillance gadgets and training, roles of tin foil…

I bet the conference attendees will start getting unusual catalogs offering to sell unusual stuff.

    2) That GANGSTALKINGWORLD link was fascinating!

    Then the 5GW related response:

Two ways come to mind that 5GWers could use this technique:

    1) If you need to infiltrate a 5GWer or a prawn into a position somewhere, you could use this technique to drive the current occupant out.

    2) If somebody is starting to recognize and discover the 5GW, this technique could be used to discredit them by making them seem to be a conspiracy monger or lunatic at best. It could also get them to go nuts and commit suicide…just like Belgian Intelligence did to Ernest Hemingway.

  2. Many years ago (the early 1970s, I believe), my grandparents saw a strange light in the sky appear to silently circle their farmhouse at close range.

Both of my grandparents reported seeing this independently, which is striking because (a) they were both extremely grounded, and (b) not particularly enjoying each others company at the time.

For a long time, we thought this was ball lightning or something else strange like that.

Then I read (I think in The Demon-Haunted World, by Carl Sagan [1]) the thought that knowing how far air forces could infiltrate into the United States from the Gulf would be very useful knowledge for the military to have. For this to be an actual test, though, whichever branch was doing the testing could not alert whichever branch was being tested.

Nothing of interest is close to my grandparents’ farm, but a number of things were within a relatively short drive (nuclear missile silos, military bases, hydroelectric dams, etc).

Seeing how obvious a potential enemy force would have to be in a region of interest before the military was alerted would have been useful information). Or alternative, once he got that far, spooking a farmer might have been some air jock’s idea of fun.

    Purpleslog,

    Good 5GW thoughts.

The same holds true for any secret, for instance. The “deguassing” explanation of the Philadelphia Experiment makes a lot of sense on its face, for instance, while it may have been useful to hide such work in plain site by making sure the cover story was laughable. [2]

  3. To Mr. Derrick Robinsion,

I read your comments, thank you. Unknown to me, why, I too, am a victim of COINTELPRO activities. I am gang stalked, mobbed, crowded & forced to live in complete isolation with not communication from my daughters & others because of the COINTELPRO. I am under 24/7 surveillance. Why people turned their heads and/or have chosen to ignore what the government is doing is beyond me. Even some church leaders are participants. See or search google: executive order 13397, also see Nancy Levant’s writings on executive order 13397, etc.
My phones, email & internet are monitored. My us mail has been delayed, and tampered with, it has also been intercepted. I do not expect it to stop. After all who is going to investigate the COINTELPRO. Isn’t that why so many folks have volunteer their services to it? The government’s got their back. They can do whatever they want to do. On walks, strangers have taunted & threaten me etc. My medical information has been distributed to community members & my pet cat became seriously ill during my absence when I had to leave her alone to travel to MI, to continue to fight my former spouse in a campaign with others to take away my finances.

I read about former Rep. Cynthia McKinney. She lost her seat, I wish she had not, I would have loved to converse with her about this matter. Does anyone know where she is now?

Getting back to gang stalking, etc., some good things have come out of this awful experience, which is still on going. My relationship with Jesus Christ has improved. I read my Bible often every day. I also research and increase my knowledge of gang stalking, etc. I have prayed many hours and asked my Lord to expose to me what was going on. I can’t remember when it happen, but all of a sudden more and more information became available to me via of internet.

This movement is of satanic nature. We must pray and expose it every chance we get. I recently talked with Jesus, another victim of the COINTELPRO. Medically, he is suffering, please pray for him, daily. My best to all you, Michaeline Jones, Conyers, Ga

  4. Sounds like a pretty common form of mental illness. I have seen it in several people, three close up. Sometimes they are treatable, sometimes not. One of the three is functional, one is dead, one is so far as I know still institutionalized. One guy came to my office and wanted me to go to FBI headquarters with him because they were poisoning his water supply. Very sad.

  5. There’s an old story, perhaps apocryphal, of a psychiatrist who was treating several people who believed they were Jesus Christ. He thought if he got them together in one room to talk to each other, they would realize they were delusional. It didn’t work.

  6. In the summer of 1995, I was creating web pages for a state agency in Missouri and had the occasion to surf the web in its early stages. It was obvious that conspiracy theorists had discovered the web early. The next summer I worked for a senator in DC; about once a week, we’d receive a letter, usually typed single-spaced on both sides from a nut. I remember one from a guy who claimed that he’d invented a perpetual motion energy machine that Pres. Clinton had come to see. Now, through the internet, people with paranoid conspiratorial fantasies can link up and reinforce their feelings. Look no further than the “troofers.”

Believing in conspiracy allows you to make meaning in life and re-direct yourself to the center. Instead of being an individual among billions, you re important enough to be followed; or you know the ‘truth’ while all the other ‘sheep’ can’t see what is in front of their eyes.

  7. The book version of The Mothman Prophecies [1] goes into some depth on these “fairy stories”” [2], and argues that aliens, Men in Black, fairies, etc., are a part of the human experience that has been with us for a very long time. Gangstalking seems similar.

Whether or not such creatures are objectively real is, for now at least, less important than the harm that the perception of such creatures seems to do to sufferers. William James [3] would wonder, “Is it useful to believe in them? Is it harmful?”

A scientist would act, is it useful?

We all have dreams and nightmares, and most if us [4,5] recognize that dreamland is not useful to us. I think this is true, even if we see it while awake.

  8. Purple’s hit on a scary thing about 5GW: There seems to be no functional difference between paranoia and defense tactics:( In Ms Jones’ case, though, talking to Jesus does suggest the former.

  9. Defense in 5GW is either automated or offensive.

It is automated if you have an environment which deforms 5GW into organizations into 4GW ones. Websites like OpenSecrets [1], for instance, make it harder to conduct some types of campaign in secret.

It is offensive if you attempt to manipulate the system in ways that get you your objectives, thus stealing the initiative from any enemies who might try to change the world away from your ideals.

The symmetrical defense against 5GW — full-blown paranoia — is of course foolish. Even for those paranoids who do have enemies.

  10. Just a quick update on the New York Times article.

I have just spoken to Vaughan Bell, one of the key psychologists mentioned in the article and he was kind enough to clarify that he has never studied Gang Stalking.

The research that he did, fully focuses on Mind Control sites. He has never studied Gang Stalking or the Gang Stalking World website more specifically.

I think one of the things that Sarah Kershaw did in the article, that many people do is that she lumped in Gang Stalking, Electronic Harassment, and Mind Control, all together.

  11. gangstalking ,

    Thank you for the clarification!

The internet allows misinformation to spread fast… but also gives us ways of double-checking, and getting the real story.

    I appreciate the note!
