The Colorado Game
by tdaxp ~ November 28th, 2008
Given how we played, it is as if Coach Bo Pelini said, “We have one of the best offenses in the country. Can we still beat Colorado, if defense and special teams gives them 21 points, by handing them the ball and diving out the way?”
The answer was yes.

Good thing I’m not a sports fan, then.

Thank you!
Colorado embarrassed my home university(WVU) earlier this season. Glad to see they lost by a field goal, I call that Mountaineer karma.

I don’t see the video (sure to be on humorous highlight reels) of our fake FG-fumble-touchdown return error, but this [1] is the 57 yard field goal and what led up to it.
After we got the fieldgoal we ran in another touchdown after an interception, making the final score of 40-31 [2] rather pleasant.
Last year, Colordo prevented us from being bowl eligible (back in the dark days of Bill Callahan). It is nice to return the favor.
Corn Nation has a good take. [3]

More evidence suggesting an inverse relationship between my presence in Lincoln and the team’s performance …

I watched the game from a sky box. Quite a kick.

fl, is it a distance correlation or just a presence correlation? If it’s the former, have you considered moving to Perth, Australia? It seems to be the closest major city to the opposite side of the planet from SE Nebraska:)

With the most boring announcer summary, the fake FG (shot from a weird angle) is available at 52 seconds in [1].
The much better, ABC feed, captures the stunning moment
