If you read the story, that is exactly what the White House is claiming. This is not a pattern that was typical of Obama before. This is part of the Arrogance of Power -- he's out of touch (not as an insult, but as a fact. The reason a Senator needs to shout at his aids [1] is that Obama is working in a protective cocoon of flattery). This recent news is just a relatively minor example of the overall trend. If you read the story, that is exactly what the White House is claiming.

This is not a pattern that was typical of Obama before. This is part of the Arrogance of Power — he’s out of touch (not as an insult, but as a fact. The reason a Senator needs to shout at his aids [1] is that Obama is working in a protective cocoon of flattery). This recent news is just a relatively minor example of the overall trend.
