If you read the story, that is exactly what the White House is claiming.

This is not a pattern that was typical of Obama before. This is part of the Arrogance of Power -- he&#039;s out of touch (not as an insult, but as a fact. The reason a Senator needs to shout at his aids [1] is that Obama is working in a protective cocoon of flattery). This recent news is just a relatively minor example of the overall trend.

I think you need to back up on that accusation.  Obama did ask a coat manufacturer to not use his likeness in that he said it suggested that it had his endorsement (and a similar situation happened with his wife and PETA), but I don&#039;t recall him or her even remotely suggesting that these entities are bound by law to seek approval from them.</description>
