Major props to President Obama and Secretary Duncan
Obama’s unveils ‘turnaround’ grants for schools
$900 million in grants will be available next year to low-performing schools that opt for one of four reform models, which include firing the principal and even closing the campus.
It was hard to imagine a better “education President” than George W. Bush, but Barack Obama is delivering!

When you explained the logical behind your support for NCLB to me, I thought that it would make a lot more sense if bonuses were rewarded to improving schools rather than withholding federal funding to under preforming schools.
It seems that Obama is doing just that, and, as soon as I saw this headline in the news, I was anticipating that you would be pleased.

Obama’s really on fire with education reform. Arnie Duncan was a great choice as Education Secretary.

While his high-profile policy proposals are both unpopular and unworkable, Obama sure knows how to pick his Defense, State, and Education Secretaries!
