Speaking of which, I remember a rep. from a conservative think tank (it might have been the Heritage Foundation) asserting that the raised level of violence in Mexico has to do with the Mexico gov't "finally" doing something about the drug war.

Thing is, the last time I checked, most of the violence is between rival cartels, and most civilian casualties are ones caught between the crossfire.

Or am I wrong?

Certainly a frustrating experience.

Damn Russian terrorists.

I assume Obama's chances of standing firm against Russian cyberterrorism is as good as him standing firm against Mexican cartel violence against government workers: none. [1]

Fred,

I prefer my quasi-absurdist humor to have up and coming German actors who play calculating sociopaths in Tarentino flicks.

Dan,

Now that I am posting on your blog, I am curious as to how the spam worked.

Here is a tale of Russian failure and decay to start the weekend off well...

"Once-legendary Russian weapons are suffering embarrassing quality problems, and Russia’s own military is in talks with France to buy assault ships."

No crap! Here's a Russian piece of art for you to watch. I watch this, I feed like a bug on a windshield, not yet dead and forced to watch the driver drink Starbucks: http://trololololololololololo.com/
