Welcome to our police state:
What a terrible President we have!
MyDD: Geithner et al part an organized criminal elite
MyDD is one of my favorite “liberal” blogs. I’ve been praising it since 2005. MyDD is the site that Daily Kos branched from back in the day.
Thus it is with tremendous pride and happiness that MyDD targets everything that Tim Geithner represents
It has got to happen over the next two years, and its going to take progressives, libertarians, tea partiers, coffee partiers, conservatives… everyone that is not part of the problem (the financial/political/military elite). Get radical, first by moving beyond attachment to a single party or a political identity. Radicalize them both, go independent; whatever, and if that’s not you too, then get out of the way.
MyDD links to a video that, while using liberal tropes that represent MyDD”s ideological history, accurately descibes the Goldman Sachs elite that is destroying our political and economic system
Whoever you vote for this election,
- Punish those who supported TARP
- Punish those who supported the Big Business – Big Labor bailouts
- Punish those who are destroying our economy
The appropriate way to respond to our enemies is…
…more and bigger guns.
Outgun them this November.
Aspects of the Obama Administration I like: Secretary Clinton, Secretary Gates, Secretary Duncan
Aspects I don’t like: Secretary Geithner, openly racist officials
Update: Title of the post changed to as further evidence indicates this was a confession, not a mark of pride, that this Democratic official was racist on the job.
I don’t mind that Elena Kagan is a lesbian. I do mind that Elena Kagan wants to criminalize criticism of her lifestyle:
“We should be looking for new approaches, devising new arguments,†Kagan declared, according to video of the event reviewed by POLITICO. She seemed to count herself among “those of us who favor some form of pornography and hate speech regulation†and told participants that “a great deal can be done very usefully†to crack down on such evils.
“Statutes may be crafted in ways that prohibit the worst of hate speech and pornography, language that goes to sexual violence. Such statutes may still be constitutional,†Kagan assured the meeting. She pressed for “new and harsher penalties against the kinds of violence against women that takes place in producing pornography, the use of pandering statutes and pimp statutes against pornographers…perhaps the initiation—the enactment of new statutes prohibiting the hiring of women for commercial purposes to engage in sexual activities.â€
My view of freedom is much closer to that described in a recent post of The Metropolis Times:
At my local college campus, we have a man who visits and tells students that wearing the color pink will send them to Hell, and that God hates homosexuals, Catholics, Mormons, liberal Christians, Buddhists, sororities and fraternities and a large number of other things. Invariably, a group of students will spontaneously form and argue with him.
This is the only country in the entire world where none of the people involved are breaking the law.
…. unless Elena Kagan gets her way.
While Obama has done nothing to prevent the greatest oil disaster in world history…
… his record on broader science projects is, fortunately, more fixed
- Obama awards $2 billion for solar power
- Obama doubles wireless spectrum
- US Department of Energy Wants Bigger Wind Farms
… and clean up the BP spill, of course.
The story is developing fast
Research 2000 is a left-leaning polling firm that has been contracted by Daily Kos over the past few years. Typically, the Research 2000 / Daily Kos polls are the only ones that show “good” news for President Obama.

Major Props to the folks at Daily Kos for acting quickly on this.
This is typical of the disconnected, centralized, red-tape approach that Obama has taken to the clean-up in the Gulf (from ABC News)
Sixteen barges sat stationary today, although they were sucking up thousands of gallons of BP’s oil as recently as Tuesday. Workers in hazmat suits and gas masks pumped the oil out of the Louisiana waters and into steel tanks. It was a homegrown idea that seemed to be effective at collecting the thick gunk.
“These barges work. You’ve seen them work. You’ve seen them suck oil out of the water,” said Jindal.
“The Coast Guard came and shut them down,” Jindal said. “You got men on the barges in the oil, and they have been told by the Coast Guard, ‘Cease and desist. Stop sucking up that oil.'”
What an awful President. Obama caused this mess. Obama is stopping others from cleaning up his mess.
America made a mistake electing Obama, and the Gulf Coast states are paying the price.
